Every year, The Art of Brooklyn Film Festival creates workshops and panel discussions to help filmmakers succeed in the industry, and to address topics that are important to our community.
For our 9th annual fest, we've put together a day of events moderated by industry pros aimed at providing invaluable info for moving your career forward in a real way, and a panel talk about why crew diversity makes sets and productions better in every way.

We've scheduled them back to back on Saturday, June 8 at a reduced ticket price of $10 to make it easy to attend them all (and they don't overlap with any of our screenings!)

To attend all 4 events for one price of $25, purchase a special Workshop/Panel pass HERE.

Diversity Beyond the Screen: The Crew
Saturday, June 8, 2019 7:00 PM
St. Francis College - 180 Remsen St. Bklyn NY 11201
TICKETS
Most efforts to promote diversity in film are focused on screen or on above-the-line roles, and don’t address the essential players that make films happen: the crew.
The Art of Brooklyn Film Festival has been at the forefront of the film diversity issue with panels on women directors (2013, 2017), diverse actors (2015), Latinx (2017) and Asian (2018) filmmakers. This year we are extending the conversation beyond the screen by talking with a diverse group of working crew and producers about their experiences, rewards and challenges in the industry. We’ll discuss why crew diversity is good for production, how it makes a better set for everyone and brainstorm ways to make inclusive crews the norm, not the exception. Join us to talk, share and network.

The 2019 Art of Brooklyn Film Festival runs June 1-9. The full schedule, interactive Film Guide and ticket info is available at aobff.org
