AMERICAN SNAKE PIT 
Comedy/Drama, written by Dan Tomasulo
Based on the true story of naive but good-natured Doctor Dan who, while still in graduate school, must beat off corrupt town officials scheming to close the group home by banding together a motley group of patients from Willowbrook, the worst asylum in American history. Inspired by Governor Rockefeller's opening of the first group home for residents coming out of Willowbrook at 310 67th Street, in Bay Ridge.

Biography/Drama, written by Bo Svenson
A rite of passage drama that tells the story of artist Jackson Pollock’s niece, Brooklyn-born Rena “Rusty” Glickman, the only person of the Jewish Faith to receive Japan’s highest civilian honor — The Emperor’s Order of The Rising Sun. As a twelve-year-old, Rusty learned about the horrors of the Holocaust and resolved THAT was not going to happen to her. She would be better and stronger than THEM — THEY would not win this time. She didn’t know how, but then she found judo — a sport at which she excelled but from which women were excluded. So in 1959 and then a single mother, Rusty decided to compete in the New York State Judo Championships while disguised as a man. In a stunning upset, Rusty beat the reigning State Champion — but as she stood on the podium to receive her gold medal, THEY asked if she was a girl. When she acknowledged that she was, the organizers took back her medal!
