Blade #1, the award-winning documentary about a group of women paid to shave their heads in response to a Craigslist ad, is now available for streaming exclusively on Brooklyn On Demand. Created and produced by the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival, BKOD is the world's only streaming platform dedicated to Brookyn-centric indie films, original series and more. The film focuses on Cori, a dancer whose unusual childhood comes into play as the women's relationship with the men evolves with surprising results. The first film from NYC-based director Zuzka Kurtz, Blade #1 was produced, shot, and edited in Brooklyn. Cori Kresge, the main subject, is a Brooklynite as are most of the dancers featured. The film was produced by the Brooklyn studio, Oscillating Pictures using an entirely local, Brooklyn-based crew.
